Kanchenjunga is located at the eastern part of Nepal being the border of Nepal and India and Sikkim with the altitude of 8586m above sea level. It is the third highest mountain of the world and obviously the second highest mountain of Nepal. The trekking to this region gives us the best view along with the best felling to trek. The trekking route passes through several villages and national parks. Hence, we can view the best picture of different type of Flora and fauna while trekking at this region. Mainly the people of Rai and Limbu community used to live here. While trekking at this region, we will get the spectacular view of the neighboring mountains. The trekking to this region begins from Kathmandu with a flight over to Biratnagar. Then it will passes through the beautiful trekking route through the Dovan, Gupha, Mitlung, Sukathum, and will be back to Kathmandu through Ghunsa passing several passes and many rivers along the way. The trekking to this region will be spectacular with better guides and some trekking rule. The provision of experts to climb at the peak will add some flavor in the beauty.
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu
Your flight will be landed at the international airport of Nepal. A representative of Guide-Nepal will be there to welcome you with the warm greetings and then we will be guided towards the hotel room of Kathmandu. The night will be at Kathmandu discussing about the trekking along with the crew members.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Biratnagar to flight and drive to Basantapur
From Kathmandu, we will flight over to Biratnagar and will trek towards the beautiful region of Basantapur. The flight will be spectacular which will offers us the best view of the surrounding from the top. The flight goes for about 50 minutes and then we will continue the drive for about 5 hours. The night will be spectacular at the beautiful place of Basantapur at the altitude of 2200m above sea level.
Day 03: Basantapur to Chauki
From Basantapur, we will commence our trek from Basantapur to Chauki. We will follow the way to Tunde. And after passing several villages viewing the best scene of the regions along with the striking view of the Kanchenjunga and Makalu Mountain, we will trek towards the beautiful region of Chauki at the altitude of 2700m after the trekking of about 7 hours.
Day 04: Trek to Gupha Pokhari
From Chauki, we will trek towards the Gupha Pokhari following the main trail. The trail goes through the Milke Danda and to the beautiful place of Gupha Pokhari. The trekking may go for about 4 hours long which will help us to attain the height of 2900m above sea level. The night will be at Gupha Pokhari.
Day 05: Gupha Pokhari to Dovan
From Gupha Pokhari, we will trek along the way to Dovan. The trekking route is long but offers us the best scene of the surrounding which will compel us to reach at the height of 2200m above sea level. The trekking route passes through the beautiful forest of rhododendron. While trekking at the high points, we will gain the most spectacular view of the mountains.
Day 06: Trek to Mitlung
From Gupha Pokhari, we will trek towards the Mitlung attaining some height. The trekking from Gupha Pokhari to Mitlung goes for about 6 to 7 hours which will obviously impressed us offering many beautiful pictures of landscapes and forest of the region. The night will be at Mitlung at the altitude of 890m.
Day 07: Trek to Chirwa
From Mitlung, we will follow the beautiful region viewing the spectacular view of the surrounding. We will walk through the dense forest and through the narrow gorge. The trekking may goes for about 6 hours. The night will be spectacular at the height of 1185m above sea level at Chirwa.
Day 08: Trek to Sukathum
From Chirwa, we will move towards the Sukathum which will continue for about 5 to 6 hours which will offers us the best view of the surrounding. The trek will follow the Ghunsa River through the Tamor Nadi valley. The night will be at Sukathum at the height of 1640m
Day 09: Trek to Amjilosa
We will begin our trek following the way to Amjilosa which goes for about 6 km. the trail will follows the way next to Ghunsa River which will continue until we reach at Amjilosa. We will see some of the different types of Sherpa people living at this region. The night will be at the beautiful place of Amjilosa. The Amjilosa is at the height of 2490m above sea level.
Day 10: Amjilosa to Gyabla
From Amjilosa, we will trek towards the region of Gyabla. The trekking is totally isolated as we can't see any villages at this region during the whole trek up to Ghunsa. The Ghunsa is at the height of 3430m above sea level. The trekking goes for about 4 hours through the isolated trekking route.
Day 11: Amjilosa to Ghunsa
We will begin our trek, following the path through path at the height of 3000m. We will take rest at different heights while trekking at this region. After walking for a while we will reach at a beautiful village of Phole, a Tibetan village. We will view the true and traditional culture of Tibetan people while trekking through this region. The night will be at Ghunsa after the trek of about 5 to 6 hours to the height of 3430m.
Day 12: Ghunsa to Kambachen
From Ghunsa, we will enter into the beautiful glacial valleys. We will walk to the glacier of the Lhonak. We will stay the night at Kambachen at the tented camp. We will surely enjoy the surrounding of the place while trekking at this region. The night will be at the height of 4040m above sea level.
Day 13: Trek to Lhonak
We will begin our trek following the trail to Lhonak. While trekking at the high altitude, we will get the magnificent view of the surrounding. The trail will follow the beautiful region of the surrounding Ramgtang at 4240m. The night will be beautiful at Lhonak at the altitude of 4790m above sea level. The trekking goes for about 6 to 7 hours.
Day 14: Back to Ghunsa
After exploring around the Lhonak early in the morning, we will return back to the beautiful trail towards Ghunsa. As this will be our returning journey, we will explore more about the region to get maximum satisfaction from the sight. The trekking will continue until we reach to the Ghunsa at the altitude of 3430m above sea level after trekking for about 7 to 8 hours returning through the same trail.
Day 15: Ghunsa to Sele la pass
From Ghunsa, we will return towards the region of Sele la pass. We will use the local trekking route of the place which the local people used during their daily life. The trail will passes through the beautiful and dense forest of Pine, Birch, rhododendron along with the beautiful peaks covered with snow. The night will be at Sele la pass after trekking for about 6 to 7 hours. The Sele la pass is at the altitude of 4500m above sea level.
Day 16: Sele la passes to Tseram crossing Mirgin la
We will begin our journey early in the morning viewing the best possible view of the surrounding. The route will be challenging as well as beautiful. We will climb towards the Mirgin la to the height of 4480m and will continue to trek until we reach to Tseram at the height of 3870m. the trekking goes for about 8 hours in the land of Himalayas.
Day 17: Trek to Ramche
We will walk towards the beautiful glaciers of Yalung. We will walk towards Ramche which is a suitable place to set up our camp for the night. After having the lunch, we will explore around the Octang Yalung glaciers situating at the height of 4620m. The night will be fascinated at the Ramche in the tented camp.
Day 18: Trek to Tortong
From Ramche, we will trek along the beautiful and simple trekking region which will lead us towards the region of Tortong. The trail will follow the Simbhu Khola to Tortong. The Tortong is at the altitude of 2995m which will be acquired after the trekking of about 7 to 8 hours.
Day 19: Tortong to Yamphudin
The trekking route becomes tougher for today's trekking. We will walk from Tortong earlier to Yamphudin to the height of 2070m above sea level. The trekking goes for about 7 to 8 hours which will be all brilliant and eye catching. The night will be at Yamphudin after the long and exhausting trek.
Day 20: Trek to Khobang
The trek from Yamphudin will passes through the beautiful villages of Brahmin and Chhetri. We need to pass two passes to complete our journey of the day. We will spend the night at Khobang at the height of 1740m above sea level after having the exhilarating journey of 7 to 8 hours.
Day 21: trek to Phakholing
The trekking from the Khobang to Phakholing is long. The trekking continues for about 7 to 8 hours through the main trail. The trail will descend 1000m through the trail to Dovan and then the straight way to Phakholing.
Day 22: Phakholing to Tharpu
From Phakholing, we will trek towards the beautiful village of Tharpu. We will enjoy the best view of the surrounding while trekking at this region. The night at Tharpu will signals us the ending of our exhilarating trek to the beautiful region. The night will be at Tharpu at the height of 1600m above sea level.
Day 23: Drive to Bhadrapur
From Tharpu, we will catch the bus to Bhadrapur. The trail passes through the beautiful route viewing the best scene of the surrounding and glittering mountains. The drive will go for about 9 hours which will take a long distance back to Bhadrapur. The night will be at Bhadrapur.
Day 24: Fly back to Kathmandu
From Bhadrapur, we will fly over to Kathmandu. In the clear weather, w e can enjoy the great scenery of the surrounding. The scenic flight goes for about 35 minutes. The night will be at Kathmandu enjoying with friends at the hotel room enjoying the success party.
Day 25: Farewell
After completing our exhilarating trekking, we will do some shopping at the local market of Kathmandu. Then, we will arrange our Packages and will move towards the airport to catch the splendid flight over to our own destination. We will surely enjoy the farewell party organized by the Guide-Nepal. We will hope for your better further journey.
