Trip Overview

Gosainkunda (4380m.) is located in north side of the Kathmandu in Langtang region. Being a holy pilgrimage trek, Gosainkunda Pass trekking brings you crossing the Langtang Valley trek and Helambu Treks. The trek can be started from Dhunche or Sundarijal or Melamchi. Gosainkunda area is a high altitude area with number of holy lakes such as Bhairavkunda, Saraswatikunda, Surjekunda, Dhudhkunda and Gosainkunda. To have a holy bath and worship in Gosainkunda,  thousands of Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims visit the area.
Gosainkunda Pass Trekking is one of the interesting trails because of the Kunda (holy lakes) in high altitude. Gosainkunda Pass Trekking is passing through this pilgrimage site. While trekking to Gosainkunda Pass, we have to walk one more hour to reach there from Kunda area. The lakes (kunda) can be seen frozen during winter season.
Gosainkunda Pass Trekking trail includes the view of Langtang valley. The gigantic view of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung (7240m.), Langtang Glacier and other mountains including Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, Dorje Lakpa Himal around the valley are some of the best panoramas of the trek. The varied landscape covered with the forest of rhododendron and terraced rice fields and meadows with green grass offers the fine view of the nature.. The dense forest with many wild animals while trekking through the valley and shrubby landscape shows a kind of diverse vegetation.
Gosainkunda Pass Trek joins the trail to Helambu Valley after reaching the Lake area. To enter into Helambu valley, it goes crossing the Laurebeni Pass. Helambu is cultivated by Sherpas whose origin is Tibet so they follow Tibetan culture and traditions. From Helambu, the trail moves to Melamchi exploring Sherpa and Yolmo culture..
Gosainkunda Pass Trekking provides the opportunity of exploring the diverse landscape, plants, wildlife,  people and their culture, dress etc., Sherpa village and their life style along with tranquil Himalayan environment. The trekking is little challenging for those who don’t have experience in high altitude trekking.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu
Your flight will be landed at the international airport of Nepal. A representative of Guide-Nepal will be there to welcome you with the warm greetings and then we will be guided towards the hotel room of Kathmandu. The night will be at Kathmandu discussing about the trekking along with the crew members.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi
From Kathmandu, we will catch the bus to take the scenic drive over to Syabrubesi. The driving takes about 8 to 9 hours through the main road. We can get enormous opportunity to view the beautiful view of the surrounding while travelling through the route. The view of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh and other high peaks will drag the attention of many travelers. The night will be at Syabrubesi.

Day 03: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel
From Syabrubesi, we will trek towards the beautiful place of Lama Hotel. The trail will follow the Trishuli river and along the forest to lama hotel. The night will be at Lama Hotel at the height of 2640m above sea level walking for about 6 to 7 hours.

Day 04: Trek to Langtang village
From Lama Hotel, we will walk through the forest of rhododendron and viewing the beautiful sceneries of the surrounding along with the soaring mountains. The trail takes about 5 to 6 hours which will lead us towards the beautiful region of Langtang village.

Day 05: Trek to Kyangjin Gompa
 From the Langtang village, we will walk towards the Kyangjin Gompa. The place will offers us best scene of the surrounding along to the Langtang village and finally to Kyangjin Gompa. The trail will continue for about 5 to 6 hours which will lead us to the height of 3860m.

Day 06: Kyangjin Gompa exploration day
We will start the day with the early hiking over to the beautiful glaciers of Tsergo Ri and then to the Kyangjing Ri. The view will surely be mesmerizing. We will view the glittering view of the beautiful mountain like Langtang Lirung, Naya Kang, Dorje Lakpa and other several mountains. The day will be back to the Kyangjin Gompa.

Day 07: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel
From the Kyangjin Gompa, we will trek towards the Lama Hotel.  The trail goes downhill to the Lama Hotel viewing the best scene of the surrounding. The trek will takes about 7 to 8 hours which will lead us to the beautiful place of lama hotel. It is situated at the altitude of 2640m above sea level.

Day 08: Trek to Thulo Syabru village
From lama hotel, we will trek towards the Thulo Syabru village. The trail will go steeply towards the bamboo viewing the best scene of the surrounding. Thulo Syabru village is at the altitude of Tamang village. We will rest the night at Thulo Syabru village at the altitude of 2540m after walking for about 6 to 7 hours.

Day 09: Trek to Laurebina
From Thulo Syabru, we will move up to the path following the forest of rhododendron and through the pasturelands. The trek will continue towards the Laurebina at the altitude of 3920m above sea level. The trekking goes for about 6 to 7 hours while trekking through the best regions.

Day 10: Trek to Gosainkunda
From Laurebina, we will trek towards the Gosainkunda. The best scene of the surrounding while trekking at these beautiful regions will surely mesmerizes us. The time that we will spend during the trek will take about 4 to 5 hours through the main trail. The Gosainkunda is at the altitude of 4210m above sea level.

Day 11:  Cross the pass and trek to Gopte
From Gosainkunda, we will cross the pass walking early in the morning. We will walk towards the Lauribina la pass at the altitude of 4650m above sea level. Then we will walk towards the fine way to Gopte to the altitude of 3640m.

Day 12: Gopte to Kutumsang
From Gopte, we will start the trek following the way towards Kutumsang. We will walk through the beautiful pass viewing the best scene of Dorje Lakpa and other mountains. After hiking for about 6 to 7 hours we will reach at Kutumsang at the altitude of 2540m. 

Day 13: Trek to Chisapani
The trekking region is at Helambu region which will takes us to the Sherpa and Tamang village. The trail goes sometime ups and sometimes down while trekking at this region. We walk through the forest of rhododendron which will continue for about 6 to 7 hours to reach to Chisapani at the altitude of 2230m above sea level.

Day 14: Trek to Sundarijal and to hotel room
From Chisapani, we will walk towards the lowland of Chisapani. The trekking goes for about 3 to 4 hours through the best trekking route of the surrounding. Then after reaching at Sundarijal, we will drive for about 1 hour back to Kathmandu hotel room. The night will be fantastic at the hotel room.

Day 15: Farewell
After completing our exhilarating trekking, we will do some shopping at the local market of Kathmandu. Then, we will arrange our Packages and will move towards the airport to catch the splendid flight over to our own destination. We will surely enjoy the farewell party organized by the Guide-Nepal.
